As you all know, we started this blog to share our love of books with the world, but also to interact and that’s why receiving requests for reviews is a wonderful thing! Not only do we appreciate the love, but we are in constant search of more brilliant books to read. We will do our best to fulfill all of these request as soon as possible.* And as soon as we have started on your recommended book, you will be able to find it in our ‘currently reading’ section. Down below you can find a list of the requested books so far.

  • The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
  • Ken Follett
  • Inferno by Dan Brown
  • Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke
  • Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
  • Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld
  • Deathless by Catherynne M. Valente
  • Farworld series by J. Scott Savage (let’s begin with book #1: Water Keep)
  • And Crocodiles Are Hungry at Night by Jack Mapanje
  • The Once and Future King by T.H White

Dutch requests:

  • Merijntje Gijzens jeugd en jonge jaren door A.M. de Jong

*Okay, maybe not all, but we will do our best and try to keep our sanity while doing so. Of course there might always be a book requested that all three of us have no interest in whatsoever. Maybe don’t suggest 1000+ page tomes of communistic depression or a dissertation about life in the medieval times told by Christian Grey. We love all books, but we also love our sanity and have our preferences. Don’t judge us for taste, but don’t worry: among the three of us we have a very wide range of interests. Of course we will let you know in the very unlikely event nobody is interested!

  1. Wow – Brave of you to take requests. Perhaps you should give yourselves the permission to stop reading any request at any time. Reading time is too precious to be wasted on a book you hate.

    1. Yeah we are brave girls! But we indeed do warn people that we are not going to read all the books they request. This list are all the books that ‘made it through the first round ‘, so to speak, because we do value our reading time and sanity.
